Actor Jo Jung Suk has made a major real estate profit after selling a building in Seoul’s upscale Daechi-dong area.
According to sources in the real estate and entertainment industries on June 17, the building owned by JS Company—established by Jo Jung Suk—was recently sold for 11 billion won (approximately $8 million USD).
The property, located in the heart of Gangnam’s education district, sits on a 224.6㎡ lot and has a total floor area of 710.71㎡, spanning from one basement level to six above-ground floors. The entire building is currently leased to an English academy.
Jo Jung Suk initially purchased the building in 2018 for 3.9 billion won (around $2.8 million USD), resulting in an estimated profit of 7.1 billion won (approximately $5.2 million USD) from the sale. However, taking into account the cost of demolishing the old structure in February 2020 and constructing a new building, the net profit is estimated to be around 5 to 6 billion won (approximately $3.7–$4.4 million USD).
Jo Jung Suk is a celebrated South Korean actor widely recognized for his compelling performances in both television and film. He rose to prominence with roles in hit dramas like Hospital Playlist and successful box office films such as Exit, earning praise for his versatility and charisma on screen.
He is currently preparing for the release of his upcoming film, My Daughter is a Zombie, scheduled to hit theaters next month.
