Wassup's court date with their label will most likely be pushed back.

Mafia Records told Star News, "We're going to be changing the plea date for the court hearing of the three Wassup members, who are filing to nullify their contracts, that was originally scheduled for the morning of February 8. We need more time to look at the specific data after appointing our lawyer. We're going to be submitting our request to change the date today (the 7th)."

As previously reported, members Nada, Jinju, and Da In are filing for a nullification of their contracts with Mafia Records due to issues with their income.

Stay tuned for updates on the case.

The lawyer looked at the data and pissed himself laughing, he needs more time to pick up the dry cleaning.

It's a contract and they're trying to break it. Unless the company's breached it somehow, I don't know if this is going to be worth their time/money. "They didn't give me the money I deserve" or "they didn't promote us enough to our satisfaction" won't cut it.

pink_oracle jinssam Tuesday, February 7, 2017

In the contract it says they do a job and get paid, they've not been paid, this is an open and shut case. Hence why Mafia are desperate for more time to try to make up excuses.

jinssam pink_oracle Tuesday, February 7, 2017

lol if it were there would've already been a settlement without the need to go to trial. I assure you that any agency will have additional contingencies for payment upon performance.

pink_oracle jinssam Tuesday, February 7, 2017

Since when does a Korean music agency ever act with rationality? We shall see what the stipulations of the contract were soon enough.

bangeryun94 jinssam Tuesday, February 7, 2017

And I assure you that you don't know shit about how disreputable agencies in Korea operate. BAP, ZE:A, EXO Block B have all accused their agencies of withholding payment.

jinssam bangeryun94 Wednesday, February 8, 2017

Do you know what it means to have contingencies in a contract? The point you're making is exactly what I'm saying. They put the contingencies in the contracts so that they have the right to withhold payment. That's how contract contingencies work, especially when big agencies deal with young individuals who don't know better than to read the contract fine print thoroughly. I'm not siding with the agency nor am I saying this is fair, but I'm saying that this will be nowhere near easy for them unless they read the contract carefully and made sure that they got rid of those contingencies at the time that they sign, which is very unlikely considering they're entering litigation right now without the ability to settlement outside of court.
