On August 13, agency KINGKONG by Starship released several behind-the-scenes stills from the poster shoot of actress Jang Da Ah, who stars as Im Sera in the Genie TV original drama 'My Troublesome Star.'
'My Troublesome Star' is a tearful yet heartwarming romantic comedy that follows South Korea’s top celebrity who suddenly finds herself transformed into an ordinary middle-aged woman. Jang Da Ah plays the role of Im Sera, a top star and national goddess from 25 years ago. She portrays the younger days of Bong Cheong Ja, played by Uhm Jung Hwa, and is set to capture the freshness, excitement, and colorful stories of youth.
In the newly released photos, Jang Da Ah captivates viewers with her confident gaze while holding a trophy. Her glamorous styling, featuring wavy hair, a pink-toned outfit, and sparkling accessories, perfectly embodies Sera’s peak-era charm. Another shot shows her bright smile during filming, hinting at the cheerful atmosphere on set. Reports say she brought vibrant energy to the shoot from start to finish.
Jang Da Ah previously drew acclaim for her chillingly charismatic performance as Baek Ha Rin in the TVING original series 'Pyramid Game,' where she navigated the fine line between good and evil. With 'My Troublesome Star,' she promises a fresh transformation. In the recently released main teaser, Jang Da Ah effortlessly channels late 1990s style, complete with a chic hair-flip gesture that instantly convinces viewers of Sera’s star power at the time. 'My Troublesome Star,' starring Jang Da Ah, Uhm Jung Hwa, Song Seung Hun, Lee El, and Oh Dae Hwan, will premiere on ENA at 10 p.m. KST on August 18.
