Baek Jiheon of girl group fromis_9 is set to star in her first-ever movie role.
On August 13 KST, production company Studio HIM announced that filming for the youth music film 'Nerd Rhapsody' is officially underway, unveiling a fresh and distinctive lead cast lineup.
'Nerd Rhapsody' tells the coming-of-age story of a genius nerd pianist who takes on hip-hop to win the heart of a transfer student he fell for at first sight. Set in an arts high school, the film explores music, romance, and the journey of finding one’s own path.
Studio HIM shared, “This youth music film will portray how young people express themselves, understand each other, and grow through music. It will channel the emotions of first love and the uncertainty of unclear dreams, experiences familiar to everyone in their school days, using music as the bridge. We hope the film will bring deep empathy and comfort to audiences.”
The film is slated to connect with viewers through multiple platforms, including domestic and international film festivals and an OTT release.
