Ki Heui Hyun revealed that she named DIA!
The DIA members were guests on JTBC's 'A Hyung I Know' on the 1st. Instead of the usual 'transfer' student concept of the show, the girls were scientists at the 'girl group research lab'.
When asked about their name, Ki Heui Hyun answered, "I named the group. It means that we'll shine as brightly as diamonds."
Lee Sang Min joked, "How about 'Gold Silver Bronze' instead of DIA? DIA is a little plain, but people will be curious as to who gold, silver, and bronze are." Kim Young Chul also added, "Or how about 18K, since you can get that easily?", and Kang Ho Dong added onto the joke by saying, "I think then 14K is even better."
On their popularity, Jang Sung Kyu joked, "There was a lot of effort to make these girls popular. Jung Chae Yeon and Ki Heui Hyun went on 'Produce 101'. Jung Chae Yeon got popular, but Ki Heui Hyun got antis."
