EXO's Chanyeol has edited his apology on Instagram after scores of harsh criticism toward its "poor quality"

On July 18, Chanyeol addressed his actions of illegally downloading Pokemon Gold and Silver. However, the idol star continued to be criticized by netizens for his poor grammar, writing skills, and lack of sincerity.

Netizens claim that Chanyeol sounded inappropriately joyful and excited, judging by his use of exclamation points. He was also called insincere for uploading a random picture of him along with the apology. In addition, he referred to himself using the third person, which made the overall writing sound childish and unprofessional.

As a result of the harsh criticism, Chanyeol first edited his post by taking out his photo and exclamation points. Soon after, he further edited the post by removing the use of the third person. However, despite the changes, netizens and even some fans have turned against Chanyeol for his continuous "inappropriate behavior"

Pokemon Gold and Silver are games that don't work anymore, like it literally don't work, I see no problems downloading it '?'

No hate..just my opinion...just wondering why edit the apology if he'sincere the first time he posted it. It's like he defeated the purpose of the apology but instead he tried to make it look good for people to read..again just my opinion. No hate for him ☺

jesus, imagine people hating on your sincere apology just because they're salty grammar nazis who'll hate on your for anything. just leave him alone, he apologised to the best of his ability. what else do you want, a full speech and a signed contract and everything ?? get over yourselves knetz

He made a mistake, which wasn't all too serious IMO, and apologized for it in a way that matched his mistake, I think. Does he have to act as though someone died in order for his apology to come off as sincere? There's worse problems in this world than that.

This is such a stupid thing to get mad over, like netizens haven't illegally dl something before? Or illegally dl pokemon go before it was available in Korea, there where alot of tutorials going around for that, I'm sure they used it. The only way to get that rare "gameboy" version (pokemon gold, silver, crystal) of the game he had was to dl through an emulator, this isn't hard to understand. He made a mistake, he doesn't have to re-edit his apology. There are more important things in the world to worry about.

Are you fucking serious? LET THE BOY LIVE. God! How he stays so happy with all this bullshit going on is beyond me.

beashineeshawol Tuesday, July 19, 2016

To be honest the fact that he edited it is probably just going to make netizens more upset. He should have just left it they way it was.
