Lee Jong Suk


Lee Jong Suk actually began his career as a model, debuting on the Seoul Collection runway at the young age of 15. Back then, he managed to juggle both idol training and modeling. Eventually he moved on to the TV and film, making his small screen debut in the 2010 drama 'Prosecutor Princess.'�


Park Bo Gum


Park Bo Gum has enjoyed performing in front of people ever since he was just a child full of hopes and dreams to become a singer. He pursued his childhood dreams and became a trainee in his second year in high school. Though Park Bo Bum dreamt of being a singer-songwriter, his agency had advised him to pursue acting instead, leading him to choose one performing art over another.�


Min Hyo Rin


Min Hyo Rin already had some experience in the entertainment industry as a singer when she was scouted by JYP and entered the trainee life. Unfortunately, the commute from Daegu to Seoul was too taxing on her, leading Min Hyo Rin to give up on the training to become a singer and to pursue an acting career instead.�


Kim Min Jae�


Kim Min Jae was actually one of the first trainees at media conglomerate CJ E&M, preparing for the idol life. Instead, Kim Min Jae was cast in the Mnet drama 'Perseverance of Goo Hae Ra,' putting an abrupt end to his original plans to enter idol-dom, although he did make a splash with an appearance on 'Show Me the Money.'


Kim Ji Hoon


Can you believe Kim Ji Hoon was a trainee at SM, one of the biggest entertainment labels in K-entertainment? Well, you best believe it because it couldn't be more true. The actor had trained right alongside�Junsu, Yunho, Eunhyuk, Leeteuk, and more! However, SM told Kim Ji Hoon to go into acting instead, leading him to leap straight into the career.�


Lee Yeon Hee


Lee Yeon Hee was the winner of SM's 2001 'Teenage Contest,' tasting sweet victory over 8,000 other hopefuls vying for a spot as a trainee at the major label. Though she was so close to becoming a member of Girls' Generation, Lee Yeon Hee lost the spot to none other than Sooyoung, debuting as an actress instead.


Yoo Ah In

Yoo Ah In was cast when he was 16 years old, and he originally began training to debut as a solo artist. Those plans quickly dissolved when he committed to his first official acting gig in the 2004-2005 series 'Banolim (also known as 'Sharp').'�


Honey Lee


Honey Lee was a trainee at YG for about a year, and she has stated in the past that she could have been a member of 2NE1. Honey Lee in 2NE1, can you just imagine? Ultimately, Honey Lee went down the path of acting after winning Miss Korea in 2006.�

Gong Seung Yeon


Already famous for her trainee life at SM and her past kinship with f(x) members, Gong Seung Yeon grew more intrigued by acting and embarked on her acting career after seven years of training to be an idol.


Soo Ae


Soo Ae actually had no plans whatsoever to become an actress or an idol. She was approached by an agent on the streets, and after six months of intense training, with no solid album to put out, Soo Ae decided to go down the path of acting.�
