On August 23, the couple Ailee and Choi Si Hun appeared on MBN’s talk show 'Let’s GO 5.'
During the show, Choi Si Hun opened up about the difficult times he faced before meeting Ailee, addressing false rumors that claimed he was managing women appearing on adult-oriented broadcasts.
Recalling the period, Choi Si Hun shared, “I spent a lot of time sitting alone in the corner of an underground parking lot. I even started smoking again after having quit.” His remarks highlighted the personal struggle he endured amidst the rumors.
He continued, “It was really difficult to prove that it wasn’t true. Handling everything on my own was exhausting. I was hurt by so many people in society that I distanced myself from acting for a while.”
Ailee also reflected on the impact of the rumors, saying, “He wanted to avoid attention from people, but when he met me, the focus returned. Even during our honeymoon, strange rumors spread about him.”
She added, “There were rumors that he was managing women who appeared on suggestive broadcasts. Still, since we were together, we turned off our phones and enjoyed our time together.”
Choi Si Hun expressed his concern for his wife as well, saying, “Ailee also has a lot of challenges just being in the entertainment industry. I feel sorry that my situation could have caused her additional stress.”
The couple’s candid discussion shed light on the personal hardships they faced amid public scrutiny, while affirming their support for each other.
