The actor was appointed as a visiting lecturer at Hanyang thanks to the request of his fans who wanted to hear him give a talk. And lucky for them, because they got their wish! Around 250 fans filled Hanyang University's Paiknam Music Hall where Jang Geun Suk gave his lecture on philanthropy. The actor was so kind as to even hand out various refreshments such as coffee and rice cakes!

The actor shared his honest thoughts and philosophy on philanthropy, warming the hearts of all the fans through the intimate talk session. Jang Geun Suk's lecture on giving must have moved the fans deeply, because they donated over 30 million KRW (~$26,000 USD) towards Hanyang University for the year's end!
An acquaintance of Jang Geun Suk relayed, "It was even a more meaningful because [Jang Geun Suk] got to meet fans through a lecture, not a performance or an organized fan meet. We hope that he will continue to be an artist who performs deeds that are beneficial to society."
