The 2011 VMAJ is scheduled to be held on June 25th at Makuhari Messe and it's been announced that Korean groups SNSD and SHINee will be performing at the event which will be hosted by famous JPOP group, AKB48. In addition, famous global icon, LADY GAGA will also be performing at the event.
This year the 2011 VMAJ (usually called Video Music Awards Japan) takes on a new meaning as the show has been labeled Video Music Aid Japan this year. MTV Japan is working closely with the Japanese Red Cross in donating 10 yen for every vote cast towards the Great Tohoku Earthquake disaster relief.
