Was M to M using noise marketing?

We recently reported that M to M's member, Jung Hwan broke off his relationship with a member of an idol girl group after 2 years of dating. Possibly owing to this surprising testimony, M to M's latest album has been doing very well. A representative of M to M revealed that the two split up because of their busy schedules. Also, they added, "After their split, he composed and wrote a song for the album, titled "Letting Go," expressing his honest feelings for the first time." Furthermore, they informed that Jung Hwan expressed his feelings through his minihompy,�posting up messages for his girlfriend, like "I don't know why this happened. I'm just frustrated. I feel burdened with the feeling that you might be having a hard time. That you may be hurt because of someone worthless like me..." However, the news of the split between the two was first revealed through the company itself. Jung Hwan's feelings were also informed through the company. Therefore, many began to frown at the realization that all this was for noise marketing. An acquaintance of the music industry admitted, "Noise marketing is necessary sometimes when trying to spread the word." Does this mean that this story was all made up? I guess, in the end, M to M--or rather, their company--accomplished getting what they really wanted: more attention.
