Rumors are flying about that popular girl group KARA is disbanding. As the days inch closer to the end of Gyuri, Seungyeon and Hara's contracts with DSP Media, everyone is wondering what the future of KARA will be.

A representative who knows what's going on internally within KARA told StarNews, "It's true that all three people, Gyuri, Seungyeon and Hara have decided to not stay with DSP Media. There is still some time left before their exclusive contracts end, but it seems that they have made up their mind to go towards moving into a new agency."

According to DSP Media, the contracts of those three members will finish by the end of January, while new member Youngji still has much time left on her contract.

The rep also said, "The three members will go into acting, and start their 'second life'. In the case of Hara, she will discuss matters with her close fan and manager, and then give an official statement."

Reports are saying that KARA hasn't had promotions since this past fall with their Japanese tour. It's also being said that Hara, Seungyeon and Gyuri have already decided to leave, but DSP Media is unable to report so. That's because KARA's contract with a makeup brand is until this February.

On top of all this, KARA's newest member Youngji has removed 'KARA' from her Instagram page as of January 5.

Her Instagram account name used to be @kara_youngji_hur but it is now simply @young_g_hur

I think DSP is really bad at managing their artistes, thats why most of them left once the contract is up. I wish the best for all of them, youngji is still young and has a long road ahead of her, she will be fine :)

1) what does youngji mean by "hur"? ;
2) "In the case of Hara, she will discuss matters with her close fan and manager"

She's discussing it with a close fan? which fan?

1: It's a spelling variation of her surname, more commonly written as Heo. You can romanize her name in so many ways: Heo/Ho/Huh/Hur Youngji/Young-G/Yonji/Yongji/Yongjee... 2: Her manager is also her closest fan; she's also known to be really close with a core group of her fans

As much as I feel bad for YoungJi, I am quite happy too. Hara, Seungyeon, and Gyuri were there from the start and it fell apart for them after members left. DSP also doesn't treat them well like they should be. They wanna move on and that's okay. I wonder how many people will call them selfish like they call Sulli selfish lol ;

Everybody says poor Youngji, then what about Gyuri, Hara and Seungyeon? They worked so hard for KARA, they are KARA members since 2007/2008!! KARA could be one of the best girl groups if DSP Media don't treat them like s*it, give them better songs, give them better promotions, and let them live their life! It's obvious that DSP Media can't handle things well and can't value their artists (look at SS501 too, it was a big group and where are they nowadays?). If you want to pity someone it needs to be the three girls who worked their asses off for this group! Youngji is still young and fresh in the kpop industry and people love her, so she surely has a good future before her. I like Youngji too, but please, don't try to make it look like she is the only victim here, because it's not true. Try to think about what the other three could feel, they are making a big and hard decision about staying or leaving.

They want to leave. They aren't victims. It was pointless to add Youngji to the group if the contracts of the other members were going to end so soon. In this case, Youngji does deserve pity.

I do feel bad for Youngji because she just debuted and now its all falling apart for her, but Kara has been around for a long time, and since Nicole and Jiyoung left, they fell down the popularity rankings by a lot. I think Hara, Seungyeon and Gyuri are finally ready to move on, and I support that.

I really thought they would remain together for at least 1-3 years, considering that Youngji recently joined the group and brought something new to it. ;

But, I wish them all the best and plenty of success

Would you feel envy when you worked years to become successful and one member joins through little hard work and then gets successful right after debuting leaving the other members to be forgotten! I kind of feel like it was unfair on the the three that DSP spent on young ji but do not in any way blame her but DSP I guess just does not know how to handle their artists well!
