Park Bom has officially announced a temporary suspension of her activities with 2NE1.
On August 6, her agency D-Nation Entertainment released a statement via its official channels, saying, “We would like to inform you that Park Bom will not be participating in 2NE1’s upcoming schedules.”
According to the agency, the decision was made after medical professionals advised that she requires ample rest and stability for her health. “After deep discussions, we have made this unavoidable decision,” the agency stated.
D-Nation further asked fans for their warm encouragement, saying, “We kindly ask for your support so that Park Bom can recover well. Please also continue cheering on Sandara Park, CL, and Gong Minzy, who will do their best to fill the gap during her absence.”
The announcement comes amid recent online speculation surrounding Park Bom, including rumors of a relationship, noticeable visual changes allegedly due to excessive photo filtering apps, and concerns related to her dieting and weight fluctuations.
Despite her temporary hiatus, the remaining 2NE1 members — Sandara Park, CL, and Minzy — are scheduled to perform at Waterbomb Bali 2025, set to take place in Bali, Indonesia this September.
