Kim Bum signs with Pony Canyon

Actor Kim Bum has signed an exclusive contract with one of Japan's premier agencies, Pony Canyon, for his Japanese advancement. Pony Canyon is under Fuji Sankei Communications and houses top stars like w-inds., Aiko, Aya Ueto, and many others. Korean stars under the agency include Ahn Jae Wook, SS501, and Kim Jung Hoon. Representatives stated, "Through 2009's 'Boys Over Flowers', he earned popularity not only in Japan, but all over Asia. He has a fashion sense that's on par with any model, and has infinite potential as an actor. He's also able to play the guitar, piano, and other instruments, and is an all-around entertainer." They continued, "By contracting with us, we hope to actively support his career as an entertainer in Japan and are anticipating his future as one of the rising Hallyu artists of this generation."
