Court rules that CNBLUE's "Loner" was not plagiarized

Posted by VITALSIGN42 pts Wednesday, April 13, 2011

The plagiarism case between Ynot and CNBLUE's "Loner" has finally come to a close after a year of allegations. On April 13th, judge Park Jung Gil of the Seoul Central District Court ruled against the plaintiff, indie band Ynot, in favor of co-composers Kim Do Hoon and Lee Sang Ho of "Loner". In March of 2010, four members of Ynot had claimed that the chorus of "Loner" was directly plagiarized from their track, "Blue Bird", and filed a $50,000 USD lawsuit against the two composers of "Loner".
