Park Na Rae has completed her second round of police questioning over allegations of workplace abuse involving a former manager.
At around 1 PM KST on March 20, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul summoned Park for a second investigation after she was accused of charges including aggravated injury against her former manager.
According to a report by Channel A, Park responded to reporters upon arrival, saying, “I will do my best during today’s investigation,” and “I will answer sincerely through the questioning. Thank you,” when asked whether she still denies the allegations of assault against her manager.
After approximately six hours and 50 minutes of questioning, Park appeared before the press once again. When asked whether she admitted to the charges, she said, “I answered the questions sincerely,” adding, “I believe the truth will be revealed through the investigation. I apologize for causing concern,” as she bowed her head. She declined to answer further questions and left in a prepared vehicle.
The controversy began in December last year when Park’s former managers claimed they had suffered abuse and injury during their employment, sparking widespread backlash. They subsequently filed a complaint against her on charges including aggravated injury, defamation through false information, and violations of the Information and Communications Network Act.
Park, however, has denied all allegations and filed a countersuit against the former managers, accusing them of attempted extortion and embezzlement. During her first police appearance on February 20 as a suspect, which lasted about seven hours and 30 minutes, she similarly stated, “I believe the facts will be clarified through the investigation,” and “I participated sincerely and will correct anything that is not true.”
Meanwhile, Park has also faced separate allegations regarding illegal medical procedures. Reports claimed she received IV drips or was prescribed psychotropic drugs by an individual identified as 'A,' who allegedly does not hold a valid Korean medical license.
Park’s side responded that she only received nutritional injections from licensed medical personnel through a legal house-call system. However, a doctors’ association countered that 'A' graduated from a so-called “ghost university” and does not possess a valid medical license in Korea, further fueling suspicions.
Ultimately, 'A' was reported to authorities for illegal medical practices and underwent police questioning. Authorities have since imposed a travel ban on 'A' and conducted a search and seizure of the related clinic.
Following the investigation, 'A' drew attention by posting a message targeting 'I Live Alone' and broadcaster Jun Hyun Moo, stating, “After nearly losing my life once, my perspective has changed a lot. Staying quiet does not erase my faults, but that doesn’t mean I should bear responsibility for things that are not true.”
