On March 25, his agency YY Entertainment shared several photos along with the caption, “17 year old Park Ji Hoon. Thank you to 15 million viewers.”
In the film ‘The King’s Warden,’ Park Ji Hoon portrayed King Danjong (Lee Hong Wi), a young monarch who passed away at the age of 16. Through his restrained gaze and melancholic presence, he delivered a deeply moving performance that left a lasting impression.
In contrast, the newly released photos show a different side of Park Ji Hoon. At 17, he displays a playful and youthful charm, with bright expressions and a boyish aura. Wearing a hoodie and beanie while looking into the camera, he captures a natural and refreshing teenage vibe.
The phrase “17 year old Park Ji Hoon” carries added emotional weight when viewed alongside the historical fact that King Danjong died at 16, creating a poignant overlap between the character’s story and the actor’s real age.
Meanwhile, ‘The King’s Warden,’ set in Cheongnyeongpo in 1457, has surpassed 15 million cumulative viewers as of March 25, continuing its strong box office run.
