MBC’s upcoming Friday Saturday drama ‘Perfect Crown’ has unveiled its group poster.
The newly released poster features four key characters standing in front of a traditional Irworobongdo folding screen, highlighting their distinct personalities. The image showcases chaebol Sung Hee Joo (played by IU), Grand Prince Ian (played by Byeon Woo Seok), Prime Minister Min Jung Woo (played by Noh Sang Hyun), and Queen Dowager Yoon Yi Rang (played by Gong Seung Yeon), each radiating elegance and charisma.
At the center of the poster, Sung Hee Joo and Grand Prince Ian immediately capture attention. Sung Hee Joo, the only commoner among them, casually places her arm on Ian’s shoulder, while the royal family’s second son naturally leans toward her.
Although their relationship begins as a contract marriage meant to change their fate, their closeness hints at the bond forming between them as husband and wife.
The poster also reflects the drama’s unique visual style by blending traditional and modern elements. Decorative objects such as bonsai trees, ceramics, glass lighting, and traditional door frames appear throughout the image, offering a glimpse into the royal setting that will appear in the series.
‘Perfect Crown’ is set in a fictional 21st century constitutional monarchy version of South Korea. The drama tells the story of a chaebol woman who seemingly has everything but is frustrated by her commoner status, and a royal prince who is born as the king’s son yet cannot truly have anything he desires. Their contract marriage sparks a romance that challenges social hierarchy and destiny.
The drama will premiere on April 10 at 9:40 PM KST.
