Actor Kim Soo Hyun may be making his long-awaited return to the screen through Disney+’s upcoming series 'Knock-Off,' according to his legal representative.
On February 28, attorney Kho Sang Rock, who represents Kim Soo Hyun, shared a statement via his personal channel addressing reports about the show’s potential release. “According to the broadcasting and financial sectors, Disney+ is reportedly reorganizing its key content lineup for the first half of 2026 and coordinating the scheduling of 'Knock-Off.' An article to that effect was published today. I believe it is highly likely to be true,” he wrote.

'Knock-Off,' starring Kim Soo Hyun and Jo Bo Ah, was originally slated for release in April last year. However, the project was put on indefinite hold after Kim became embroiled in controversy involving the late actress Kim Sae Ron
At the time, Kim Soo Hyun faced allegations that he had been in a relationship with Kim Sae Ron when she was still a minor, leading to significant damage to his public image. Since holding a press conference in March last year, the actor has largely remained out of the public eye. If 'Knock-Off' is released in the first half of this year, it would mark Kim Soo Hyun’s return approximately one year after his last public appearance.
Attorney Kho further stated, “There is not a single photograph that substantiates claims of Kim Soo Hyun being in a relationship with Kim Sae Ron during her minor years, and the truth will be confirmed through the results of the investigation.” He added, “If Disney’s risks are officially resolved, there will be no reason to delay the broadcast of 'Knock-Off' any longer.”
Neither Disney+ nor the production team has yet issued an official statement regarding the release schedule.
