Actress Han Ji Min has shared the incredibly serendipitous, movie-like story of how she was discovered and debuted in the entertainment industry.
Appearing on the YouTube channel 'Fairy Jaehyung' on February 22, the actress detailed the unexpected chain of events that started during her middle school years. At the time, her school had just become co-ed, and the captain of the soccer team spread rumors that he had a crush on her. Knowing this, her homeroom teacher snapped a picture of the two together during a school picnic.
This single photo unexpectedly changed her life. The soccer captain kept the picture in his wallet, where it was eventually discovered by his soccer coach. By sheer coincidence, the coach's sister-in-law worked in an entertainment management company. With the active encouragement of her homeroom teacher, Han Ji-min was introduced to the agency and took her first modeling photos.
Interestingly, her outgoing older sister was initially considered for a role, but the photographer's attention quickly shifted to Han Ji Min. The photographer noted that her eyes held a unique depth through the camera lens, and Han Ji Min recalled feeling surprisingly comfortable expressing herself in front of the camera.
