Danielle, who was notified of her removal from girl group NewJeans, has been deleted from major social platforms.
On February 2nd KST, ADOR replaced the group photos of the existing members on NewJeans’ official social media accounts with the group logo image and the official light stick image.
On music platform Spotify, both Danielle’s name and former CEO Min Hee Jin’s name were also removed from NewJeans’ artist introduction section.
Earlier, signs of Danielle being removed were also detected in the mobile rhythm game Rhythm Hive, operated by Dream Age, a game subsidiary of HYBE, where only Danielle’s content appeared to have been deleted.
Previously, on December 29 last year, ADOR, the agency of NewJeans, released an official statement confirming that Hanni would be returning to ADOR, following Haerin and Hyein. The agency said discussions were ongoing regarding Minji’s return, but stated that Danielle had been notified of the termination of her exclusive contract.
In particular, ADOR has filed a lawsuit seeking penalties and damages against Danielle, one of her family members, and former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, holding them responsible for NewJeans’ departure and delays in returning. The total claim amount in the lawsuit reportedly reaches 43.1 billion KRW.
Meanwhile, Danielle recently launched an Instagram account and began public activities, including live broadcasts. Within just three days of opening the account, her follower count surpassed 900,000, proving her strong buzz and public interest.
She also opened an account on Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu(Red Note), leading to speculation that she may begin activities centered in China rather than domestically. With her domestic activities limited due to the dispute with ADOR, Xiaohongshu is also being viewed as a potential new direct revenue channel.
Danielle shared, “There may be times when I feel anxious or afraid, but even then I will try to find the good within it,” adding, “Difficult moments are not ‘impossible,’ but simply moments that need a little more time.” She continued, “I will keep moving toward my dreams and continue doing things that allow me to genuinely feel happiness.”
