ALPHA DRIVE ONE is gaining attention for their impressive achievement as a rookie boy group.

On an online forum, netizens discussed how the survival group formed through 'Boys II Planet' achieved an 'all-kill' by taking #1 on all three South Korean public broadcasting music programs, including 'Music Bank,' 'Show! Music Core,' and 'Inkigayo.'

The group accomplished this feat with their debut song, "FREAK ALARM," while also becoming a million-seller within just one week of the album’s release.

This marks the first time in nine years that a rookie boy group has achieved an 'all-kill' through three major broadcast channel wins with their debut song, following Wanna One during their debut promotions. Among girl groups, the most recent group to accomplish the same feat was NewJeans in 2022.

In addition, ALPHA DRIVE ONE also secured a #1 win on 'Show Champion,' bringing their total to four music show wins.

The rookie group has continued to earn praise as fans and netizens point out the group’s remarkable momentum, especially while competing against well-established and mass-appealing senior releases from ENHYPEN, ILLIT, WOODZ, and more.

Netizens are sending in their congratulations and reactions in the comments section:

"I saw posts on X complaining that the concept was bad and the digital performance flopped, but it turns out those worries were pointless."

"Congrats congrats, the momentum is good. Their encore was solid too, so I’m looking forward to it."

"It’s kind of an empty field right now, so if the timing’s right, it’s doable."

"The haters said pre-debut that they wouldn’t be able to get No. 1 because they were up against a strong lineup, but now that they actually got No. 1, suddenly it’s ‘an empty field’ again ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ ALD1 congrats congrats."

"It’s kind of surprising that ZB1 didn’t manage this with ‘In Bloom.’ I thought Boys Planet had way more buzz back then."

"People try to drag them saying they’re less popular than other groups, but how did they achieve records that even more popular groups couldn’t? And how does the ‘empty field’ argument make sense? If ENHYPEN was the competition, that doesn’t feel empty at all."

"Even when the opponent is ENHYPEN, they’re still calling it an empty field…"

"They did really well on the encore live."

"Oh, so ALD1 is at this level huh. Congrats congrats."

"I saw fans’ posts worrying about it before, but those concerns were unnecessary."

"I don’t know whose fans they are, but the comments whining about an ‘empty field’ are seriously nasty ㅋㅋㅋ On Music Core the opponent was ENHYPEN, yet they’re still saying it’s an empty field ㅋㅋㅋ If it was such an easy ‘empty field,’ why couldn’t any other teams do it for nine years?"

"Compared to that, their presence still doesn’t feel that strong. I don’t really know who they are."

"They didn’t dodge the encore and sang live really well. Nine years, wow. Congrats."

"If you keep saying ‘empty field,’ what does that make the other groups who were there? ㅠ"

"I didn’t watch Boys II Planet, but they did well on the encore and all their visuals are decent. Congrats congrats."

"Oh, reading the comments, it looks like the company is really working hard… With a five-year contract, I guess they’re going all in. Popularity continuing is only natural."

"Congrats congrats, they seemed to really enjoy the encore and did well. I’m rooting for them."

"These days, songs I don’t even recognize are sweeping everything."

"Oh wow, there really hasn’t been anyone like this since Wanna One ㄷㄷ"

"It’s surprising that ‘Plot Twist’ and ‘Famous’ didn’t manage it. The digital performance was so good, but I guess music shows still depend heavily on album sales."

"There are so many bitter netizens… it just looks sad ㅠㅠ If it’s true, then congratulations."

"So it did even better than debut songs from ZeRaBo (ZB1, RIIZE, BOYNEXTDOOR). If the results are strong from the start, fans will feel more energized and motivated, which is nice."

"Is this really something to be this jealous about? Just congratulate them already."

"At this point, you can just think of people who leave question-mark comments like this as those who don’t even consider how fans would feel when they comment, lack basic consideration and social skills, and are so out of touch that they’re behind even current idol fandom trends—probably older too—and move on."
