Comedian Park Na Rae’s so called “Narae Bar,” which helped elevate her to top star status, is being reexamined as past anecdotes resurface amid ongoing allegations of power abuse.
In 2018, Oh My Girl members YooA and Seunghee shared an episode about being invited to Narae Bar during an appearance on tvN’s variety show ‘Amazing Saturday’. At the time, MC Boom mentioned that although the group had been invited, their agency reportedly said, “That is absolutely not allowed.”
Park Na Rae explained that before she moved, Narae Bar was located very close to Oh My Girl’s dorm and that she had tried several times to invite them over. However, she said the members always reported such plans to their company, which made things difficult.
In 2022, Park appeared on SBS’s ‘Dolsing Fourmen’, said that "Narae Bar" had strict rules that not allowing people who were already in relationships. She claimed that around 100 couples may have unofficially formed through gatherings at Narae Bar. For these reasons, it was considered off-limits by idol group agencies.
Park gained popularity by creating a bar space in her home, inviting friends. While these anecdotes were once treated as humorous, they are now being revisited as alcohol related behavior plays a significant role in the current allegations surrounding her.
Former managers have accused Park of repeatedly demanding personal errands such as fetching side dishes, cleaning up after parties, and waiting during drinking sessions. They also alleged that she forced alcohol on staff and once threw a drink when someone refused. Similar claims about problematic drinking habits have since surfaced from multiple acquaintances.
Amid allegations ranging from power abuse to embezzlement, illegal medical procedures, and proxy prescriptions, Park Na Rae has stepped down from programs including ‘I Live Alone’, ‘Where Is My Home’, and ‘Amazing Saturday’, and has suspended all activities.
On the 16th, she appeared for the first time since the controversy on the YouTube channel ‘Baek Eun Young’s Golden Time’. Park stated that legal procedures are underway to calmly verify the facts and added that she would refrain from making further public statements during the process.
