The upcoming film 'HEARTMAN' released its main trailer, offering a closer look at its heartfelt yet comedic story.
'HEARTMAN' is a comedy film that follows a man who has settled into reality after leaving his past glory behind. When he reunites with his first love, he struggles to hold on to her, only to come face to face with an “absolutely unspeakable secret.” The film also marks a reunion between actor Kwon Sang Woo and director Choi Won Seob, who previously worked together on 'HEARTMAN.'
The main trailer, released by Lotte Entertainment on December 26, opens with scenes from Seung Min’s (played by Kwon Sang Woo) university days, when he performed on stage as part of a rock band alongside Won Dae (played by Park Ji Hwan). Following an unfortunate incident, Seung Min now lives a quiet life running a musical instrument shop. His routine is suddenly disrupted when his first love, Bo Na (played by Moon Chae Won), unexpectedly reappears, leaving him caught between excitement and confusion as he is swept into unforeseen circumstances.
Accompanied by the line, “Why does love come back now?” the trailer teases the tension of a man on the verge of having his carefully hidden secret exposed in front of his first love. These moments heighten anticipation for Kwon Sang Woo’s signature, down-to-earth comedic performance.
'HEARTMAN' is scheduled to hit theaters nationwide on January 14, 2026.
