Netflix's hit culinary competition show is finally back for another season and will be bringing another intense fight between two chef classes.

Netflix announced that it will be releasing 'Culinary Class Wars 2' on December 16.

The series, which pits top “black spoon” chefs—underground masters determined to upend the hierarchy through pure flavor—against Korea’s elite “white spoon” celebrity chefs, unveiled its new poster and teaser on November 18.

The newly released black-spoon poster signals an even fiercer culinary showdown inside the show’s signature main kitchen. It highlights the fiery momentum of chefs specializing in Korean, Western, Chinese, Japanese, and fusion cuisine. From carefully brewing traditional liquors to battling open flames for perfectly juicy barbecue, or simmering broths for beautifully plated dishes, the black-spoon contenders immediately command attention. Confident in the taste they deliver, these chefs are ready for a head-to-head flavor duel against the white-spoon challengers—and anticipation is already running high.

The teaser showcases an imposing lineup of white-spoon chefs, including Michelin two-star chef Lee Jun, Michelin one-star chefs Son Jong Won in both Korean and Western cuisine, and Korea’s first master of temple cuisine Ven. Sunjae, and a 57-year veteran Chinese cuisine master, Huo Deok Juk. “It’s incredible—they’re competing with their stars on the line,” and “In Chinese cuisine, Chef Huo Deok Juk is practically a god,” the black-spoon chefs remark, raising expectations for the white-spoon chefs entering the arena. Their own fiery determination—“I’ve been waiting for this,” “I’m going to pour everything I prepared into this,” “Maybe this is my chance to make my name known worldwide,” “There’s only one reason I’m here,” “I came to take first place,” and “If I beat that chef, people will know who I am”—adds even more excitement to the upcoming showdown.

The first season delivered an unscripted clash of ambition and skill between white-spoon chefs defending their status and black-spoon chefs fighting to rise above class lines. It became the first Korean reality show to top Netflix’s Global Top 10 TV (Non-English) chart for three consecutive weeks. It also made history as the first OTT variety program to rank No. 1 in Gallup Korea’s “Koreans’ Favorite TV Programs” survey in September 2024, sparking both national and global buzz.

Season 2 promises an even more intense battle of flavors, spotlighting “the taste of Korea” as chefs from every discipline reinterpret regional ingredients from across the country. Following Netflix’s string of hit unscripted titles—including 'Single’s Inferno 4,' 'Kian's Bizarre B&B,' 'Devil’s Plan: Death Room,' 'Better Late Than Single,' 'Crime Scene Zero,' 'Physical: Asia,' and 'Three Meals in Kenya'—the series is poised to close out Netflix’s 2025 variety slate with another blockbuster.

Producers Kim Hak Min and Kim Eun Ji shared, “We’re deeply grateful for the unexpected love season one received. We worked tirelessly to meet viewers’ expectations and crafted season two with great care. We hope everyone will watch with affection and support all of the participating chefs. We’re confident this season delivers new excitement and emotion distinct from season one.”

They added, “Our guiding principle was to enhance the elements viewers loved in season one and fix what they felt fell short. Please look forward to the new rules, missions, and surprise twists that await in season two.”
