The Disney+ original series ‘Bloody Flower’ released its final Episodes 7 and 8 on February 25, drawing the curtain on the mystery thriller starring Ryeoun, Sung Dong Il, and Keum Sae Rok. Viewers are eager to see how the escalating conflicts between the characters will ultimately unfold.
‘Bloody Flower’ is a mystery thriller centered on a serial killer with the extraordinary ability to cure all incurable diseases. The drama is based on the novel 'Death’s Flower' by author Lee Dong Gun.
Ryeoun takes on the role of Lee Woo Gyeom, a medical genius who has murdered 17 people. Convinced that his killings were an unavoidable choice in the process of developing a cure for incurable diseases, Lee embodies a striking duality, both a life-saving savior and a remorseless killer.

Sung Dong Il plays Park Han Joon, a lawyer forced to defend Lee Woo Gyeom to save his ailing daughter. As both a father and a legal professional, Park finds himself torn between paternal love and his sense of justice.
Keum Sae Rok portrays prosecutor Cha Yi Yeon, who seeks to secure the death penalty for Lee Woo Gyeom to solidify her standing. In direct opposition to Park Han Joon, she exudes sharp charisma as she pushes for a decisive verdict.
Built on the premise that the serial killer’s motive was to save countless lives through the development of a cure, the drama explores the blurred boundaries between sin and salvation, as well as the dilemmas surrounding judicial justice. The characters’ differing beliefs, choices, and clashes heighten tension and drive the narrative forward.

One of the biggest focal points in the final episodes is the head-on confrontation between Lee Woo Gyeom and Chairman Chae of Chaeum Medical Center, played by Kwon Soo Hyun. As the true nature of the power hidden behind the guise of developing a cure comes to light, their relationship moves beyond simple cooperation or contractual ties. Attention is focused on how the psychological warfare surrounding Lee Woo Gyeom will conclude.
Another key development is Lee Woo Gyeom’s attempt to escape from the detention facility. After maintaining silence during his imprisonment, his sudden move accelerates the story’s pace. Whether the escape is a mere bid for freedom or part of a larger objective will serve as a critical turning point. Notably, the trailer hints at a scene suggesting that Park Han Joon may be aiding in the escape, further intensifying curiosity.
With the finale approaching, drama fans have expressed keen interest online, leaving comments such as “I’m so curious how it will end,” “It’s so good,” and “I can’t wait to see what happens next.”
