Jeongyeon of TWICE is drawing renewed attention for her noticeably transformed look, with many fans saying she has regained her “legendary visuals” after years of health struggles.
On February 24, Jeongyeon shared several photos on her personal social media account with the caption, “TWICE with Jimmy Fallon.” In the images, she poses casually while leaning against a table in a stylish space decorated with brick walls and greenery, exuding a relaxed yet polished vibe.
Sporting straight ash-brown hair with bangs, Jeongyeon showcased a chic and refined image. Her casual outfit — a loose hooded zip-up jacket with fur details — added a trendy yet comfortable touch. What particularly caught fans’ eyes was her sharper jawline and more defined features, prompting reactions that her past “prime era” visuals have returned.
Her appearance is drawing even more attention considering the challenges she has faced in recent years. Beginning in 2020, Jeongyeon experienced sudden weight fluctuations due to side effects from steroids prescribed during treatment for a herniated disc and thyroid-related issues. The changes sparked concern among fans at the time.
In addition, she temporarily halted activities on four occasions due to health concerns, including panic disorder, participating in group promotions on a flexible basis. Though eager to remain on stage, she previously shared that both her physical and mental health made it difficult to continue at full capacity.
Reflecting on that period in a past interview, Jeongyeon admitted she sometimes regretted not overcoming her struggles more quickly, but also expressed pride in herself for persevering. Rather than criticizing herself, she chose to acknowledge her progress and growth.
Currently, she continues treatment while focusing on rebuilding her strength through activities such as tennis and surfing. Despite the physical and emotional hardships, Jeongyeon never gave up on performing and remained committed to repaying fans’ support.
