As the project girl group I.O.I prepares to reunite for its 10th debut anniversary, Zhou Jieqiong, previously reported to be sitting out the comeback, has been spotted in Seoul, igniting fresh buzz among fans.
On February 23, Swing Entertainment confirmed that I.O.I will make a comeback in May and is currently preparing a new album. The upcoming project commemorates the group’s 10th anniversary since debuting through Mnet’s 'Produce 101' in 2016, marking a meaningful reunion for fans who have long awaited the members’ return.
However, the agency stated that Kang Mina and Zhou Jieqiong would be unable to participate in the anniversary activities due to prior schedule commitments, leaving fans disappointed.

The mood quickly shifted when recent photos of Zhou Jieqiong in Seoul surfaced on social media. In the images, she showcases a pure and elegant winter look, wearing a beret and red knit sweater while gazing at the camera. Other candid shots capture her smiling with bungeoppang, a beloved Korean winter snack, and enjoying Korean cuisine at a local restaurant, offering a glimpse into her everyday life in the city.
Fans reacted with excitement and curiosity, posting comments such as, “I thought she wasn’t participating. Why is she in Seoul?” “Could this mean a surprise appearance?” and “Is a full-member reunion still possible?”

Since concluding activities with I.O.I, Zhou Jieqiong has continued her career in both China and Korea, pursuing acting and variety appearances while building a global fan base with her doll-like visuals and steady career trajectory. Attention is now focused on whether her recent visit to Seoul is simply for personal reasons or connected to the 10th anniversary project.
Meanwhile, the I.O.I 10th anniversary project will feature members Lim Nayoung, Chungha, Kim Sejeong, Jung Chaeyeon, Kim Sohye, Yoo Yeonjung, Choi Yoojung, Kim Doyeon, and Jeon Somi. The group plans to kick off the celebrations with a new album release and a concert in Seoul, followed by an Asia tour.
