Ahead of the release of her leading role in 'Boyfriend on Demand,' Jisoo shared her thoughts on past "acting controversies" and expressed strong confidence in her latest project.
Set to premiere on Netflix on March 6th KST, 'Boyfriend on Demand' is a romantic comedy that fulfills the fantasies of Mirae, a weary webtoon producer who decides to "subscribe" to and experience virtual dating through a simulation.
Attending the production presentation on February 26th at the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square in Seoul, Jisoo was asked about the acting criticisms she faced in previous works. She responded carefully, saying, "As I take on different roles in every project, I met with the director frequently to discuss how I could show a better side of myself this time."
She continued with confidence, "Since I am playing a character of a similar age to myself, I felt like I was wearing clothes that perfectly fit me. When you watch this series, you’ll feel that I’ve truly met a character that 'clicks' with me."
Director Kim Jung Sik, who helmed the series, added, "Actress Jisoo put in an incredible amount of effort. She handled many different settings and character traits." He further noted, "Not only will you see the character grow, but you’ll also witness Jisoo's growth as an actress. Watching her made me realize that effort can indeed overcome talent."
