Producer Na Young Seok has expressed his condolences for the late actor Lee Soon Jae.
On the morning of November 25th KST, a press conference for the new Netflix variety program ‘Three Meals in Kenya’ was held at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall in Seoul. Producer Na Young Seok, Producer Kim Yesul, and cast members Lee Soo Geun, Eun Ji Won, and Kyuhyun were in attendance.
Ahead of the event, news broke that Lee Soon Jae had passed away earlier that morning. The late actor had built a connection with Producer Na through the program ‘Grandpas Over Flowers’. In response, the production team of ‘Three Meals in Kenya’ released a statement saying, “We express our deepest condolences on the passing of the actor.”
Regarding the news, Producer Na Young Seok said, “I was extremely shocked when I received the call this morning. I traveled with him, saw him perform in many places, and often shared moments with him and the elders he was close to. But over the past year, I wasn’t able to see him because he wasn’t well.”
He continued, “The sudden news left me stunned. One thing he always told his juniors—whether during filming or in private settings—was that he wanted to remain on stage until the very end. His words about ‘working consistently and sincerely’ were a huge inspiration to the younger generation. I pray that he rests peacefully in heaven.”
MC Park Kyung Lim also shared, “We received news this morning that veteran actor Lee Soon Jae has passed away. I would like to take this moment to express our deepest condolences.”
