EXOLs have been waiting since 2017 for a full OT9 reunion, and the continued exclusion of CBX from group activities has left many feeling betrayed. Although SM previously stated that CBX had agreed to participate in group events while pursuing solo careers, they not only have been absent from key milestones, including EXO’s anniversary fan meeting but also other members were banned from naming them.
The frustration reached a boiling point when EXO’s Kazakhstan fan base had sent a protest truck to SM’s headquarters on October 2nd, demanding the inclusion of all nine members in future events.
Adding to the controversy, the fan meeting is scheduled for December 13th and 14th—dates that coincide with China’s National Memorial Day. This timing effectively prevents Lay, EXO’s Chinese member, from attending, further fueling fans’ disappointment.
With CBX’s December schedule reportedly clear, EXOLs are demanding their participation in upcoming EXO events. Fans have taken to social media, launching hashtags to express their disapproval and call for true OT9 activities.
After more than a decade of loyalty and six years of waiting for enlistments of members, EXOLs insist that all nine members deserve to stand together once again—and they’re making sure SM Entertainment hears them loud and clear.
