
Actor Yoon Ji On has expressed deep remorse after being involved in a drunk driving incident, which led to his withdrawal from an upcoming drama.
On September 17, Yoon Ji On posted a statement on his Instagram, saying, “I feel heavy-hearted and sincerely sorry to share such unfortunate news. On September 16, I made a grave mistake by riding a parked motorcycle while heavily intoxicated, to the point where I do not remember the events clearly.”
He continued, “I have admitted all charges and am currently assessing the impact of my actions. I deeply regret causing pain and disappointment to the many people who have supported me. I am truly sorry.”
Yoon Ji On also pledged to take responsibility for his actions, writing, “I will live with caution and remorse for the rest of my life to ensure this never happens again. I will cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation and accept any consequences. There is no excuse for my behavior. Once again, I bow my head and apologize. I am sorry.”
The actor has stepped down from the Channel A drama 'A Baby is Coming,' scheduled to air in 2026, following the incident.
Yoon Ji On debuted in theater in 2013 and gained attention through his role in 'Be Melodramatic.' He later appeared in dramas including 'Monthly Magazine Home,' 'You Are My Spring,' 'Mount Jiri,' and 'Love Next Door,' building a strong following.
