On September 9, another capture of a private Kakaotalk conversation between Min Hee Jin and the shaman she allegedly consulted was shared on online communities, reigniting public interest in past controversies.
The shaman, known online as "Jiyeongnim0814" and identified as Lee, was previously accused of guiding Min Hee Jin on ADOR’s operations and member selections. Min Hee Jin has consistently denied wrongdoing, referring to Lee as "just an acquaintance." Both have remained silent, and Lee has vanished from public view.
Min Hee Jin recently drew renewed attention after rumors resurfaced that she removed two members from the K-pop group NewJeans just before the group’s debut, allegedly following the shaman’s advice. Reports suggest NewJeans was originally set to debut as a seven-member group, but Youngseo and Harin were dropped at the last minute. Youngseo later trained under ILLIT’s label but did not make the final lineup, eventually debuting with ALLDAY PROJECT. Harin, a Japanese member, is now pursuing acting and recently appeared on the YouTube show 'Nice to Eat You!' discussing her journey in Korea’s entertainment industry.
Then, on September 9, another Kakaotalk conversation between Min Hee Jin and the shaman was shared in a popular online community, gaining traction.
In the conversation between the shaman, Min Hee Jin alleges that a K-pop idol copied her and followed her around. She wrote:
Min Hee Jin: "Everyone seems to think X is like my muse? The truth is, X copied my taste and followed me. I want to set that straight. The reality is, she was following me. I hope X can accept that. She's been putting up an 'Act' a lot until now."
Shaman: "X needs to express it that way."
Min Hee Jin: "Yeah, you totally get it, lol. But she's always anxious it'll get taken away from her. You think she'll say it like that?"
Shaman: "Even if she's crazy, I'll go into her body."
Min Hee Jin: "If she's weird, wouldn't you be unable to enter?"
Shaman: "That girl. She's mentally unstable."
Korean netizens speculated who the K-pop idol 'X' was and also criticized Min Hee Jin for her bizarre conversation.
They commented:
