Actor Jung Woo Sung made his first official public appearance since his recent marriage at an event in Busan, showing a noticeably thin and tired appearance. Known for his attentive fan interactions, Jung appeared somewhat tense and expressionless during the event.
On the 18th, he attended the hand printing ceremony held at the Signiel Busan Grand Ballroom, part of the '2025 Buil Film Awards.'
Founded in 1958, the 'Buil Film Awards' is Korea’s first-ever film award, celebrating the golden era of Korean cinema in the 1960s. After a hiatus, the awards resumed in 2008 and have been held annually for 18 years. This year’s ceremony featured pre-award hand printing and red carpet events, followed by awards in 16 categories, including the Star of the Year and the Yu Hyun Mok Film Art Award.
Past recipients of the '33rd Buil Film Awards' also attended the hand printing ceremony. When asked about his thoughts on participating, Jung said, “It’s always a pleasure to be part of the 'Busan International Film Festival' and the 'Buil Film Awards.' As a recipient last year, I’m honored to have the chance to present awards. The only regret is that I don’t have a film participating this year.”
When the host asked him to briefly explain his current project, Disney+’s 'Made in Korea,' Jung replied, “It’s a bit difficult to explain briefly,” politely deflecting the question.
Meanwhile, last November, it was revealed that Jung Woo Sung fathered a child with model Moon Ga Bi outside of marriage. His agency confirmed, “The child publicly revealed by Ms. Moon on social media is indeed Jung Woo Sung’s biological child. We are currently discussing the best way to raise the child, and he will do his best as a father.”
Nine months after the controversy, in August, Jung reportedly registered his marriage with a different partner, a private individual, not Moon Ga Bi. His agency stated, “As this is a personal matter, we cannot provide an official company statement,” effectively confirming the marriage.
