Actor Choo Young Woo is facing criticism once again, this time for his allegedly "pedophilic" phone case art.
Earlier this week, Choo Young Woo appeared at a 'Tom Ford Beauty' press event at The Hyundai Seoul. During the event, the actor was photographed while using his phone, and the design of his phone case soon garnered the attention of netizens.

The phone case shows an illustration of a young school girl dressed in uniform, standing in front of a building with various shops including an "ADULT GOODS" shop called "LOVE MERCI". The name "LOVE MERCI" is said to be the actual name of an adult goods shop in the Akihabara neighborhood of Japan.
Moreover, the artist of this illustration is said to be active on social media platforms including Instagram, X, and Weibo, selling various goods featuring their art primarily through personal commission requests received via DM.

What netizens problematized was the fact that the artist in question is seemingly known for their illustrations sexualizing school girls. Many also questioned if Choo Young Woo had potentially purchased this phone case from the artist privately, raising speculations that the actor may be a follower of a "pedophilic" artist.
Previously, Choo Young Woo also faced netizen criticism earlier this year for following a "problematic" broadcast jockeys on Instagram, including BJs known for their provocative content.
