i-dle's Miyeon showcased her skills as a singer-songwriter with the release of her digital single 'Sky Walking' on August 28.
The track is Miyeon's first song that she composed herself and released for her fans. She explained, "I hope the song I composed becomes a pleasant gift. I've been waiting for this moment ever since I first performed the song at a concert."
She continued, "It's especially meaningful since 'Sky Walking' was the very first song I composed myself and revealed to fans. I hope it will be a gift that brings joy." Miyeon expressed her love and gratitude toward her fans, saying, "I love Neverland (i-dle's fandom name) so much, and as much as you cheer for me, I'll repay you with even better music."
Meanwhile, 'Sky Walking' is an alternative pop track blending the guitar sounds and synths reminiscent of 1980s pop, creating a dreamy yet uplifting atmosphere. Miyeon’s clear and refreshing vocals, combined with a trendy melody, make the song instantly captivating. Its lyrics carry a hopeful message, delivering bright and free-spirited energy.
Along with the release, a special clip was unveiled, showing Miyeon strolling freely through the streets of Macau and singing atop high-rise rooftops, harmonizing with the city’s beautiful scenery.
