Girls’ Generation member Yuri recently experienced a fall while horseback riding in Jeju.
In a video uploaded to her YouTube channel on August 11 KST, Yuri was seen enjoying horseback riding along the scenic coastal routes of Jeju Island.
“Horseback riding consumes a lot of energy and is also great for mental health,” she said, introducing the charm of the sport. She added that she began the hobby a decade ago after seeing celebrities such as After School’s Kahi, actress Jeon Hye Bin, and Hwang Shin Hye enjoying it.
After arriving at the riding club, Kwon Yuri bonded with her horse and completed warm-up training before heading out with a horse named Song-i for an outdoor ride along the beach. However, while galloping, she lost her balance, let out a scream, and fell off the horse.
“This was my first fall. I misplaced my footing and couldn’t grip the reins tightly. I fell on my back and even hit my head, but fortunately, I wasn’t seriously injured,” she recounted.
Even immediately after the fall, she expressed concern for the horse’s well-being. Determined to overcome the shock, she got back on the horse and continued the course.
At one point, she even asked the drone camera director, “Did you get that on film? Wow,” showcasing her professionalism and sense of humor.
Wrapping up the ride, she said, “Even though I was thrown off, I feel closer to the horse now. Riding with a Jeju Hallama horse relieved my stress, and moments of connecting with animals are truly magical.”
