
BLACKPINK has once again proven their unrivaled global influence, reaching another remarkable milestone on YouTube. The music video for “Pink Venom,” the pre-release track from their second full-length album, has officially surpassed 1 billion views.
According to YG Entertainment on August 4, the video reached the 1-billion-view mark at approximately 12:52 a.m. KST. Released on August 19, 2022, the video hit the milestone in just under three years.
With this achievement, BLACKPINK now holds a total of nine videos that have each exceeded 1 billion views. These include “DDU-DU DDU-DU” with 2.3 billion views, “Kill This Love” with 2.1 billion, the performance and music videos for “How You Like That” with 1.8 billion and 1.3 billion views respectively, “BOOMBAYAH” with 1.8 billion, “As If It’s Your Last” with 1.4 billion, Lisa’s solo performance video for “MONEY” with 1.1 billion, and Jennie’s “SOLO” with 1 billion.

To date, BLACKPINK has released 50 videos that have each garnered over 100 million views, continuing to set new records and remain at the forefront of K-pop. Their channel has accumulated more than 3.95 billion total views, and their subscriber count has surpassed 98.2 million—currently the highest among all artists worldwide.
“Pink Venom” made a powerful debut, garnering 90.4 million views within the first 24 hours of its release, setting a new global record for female artists. It also became the fastest music video by a K-pop girl group to surpass 100 million views, doing so in just 29 hours and 35 minutes, and went on to reach 200 million views in just over seven days.
Musically, “Pink Venom” is a hip-hop track that showcases BLACKPINK’s signature charisma. The intro grabs attention with the sound of traditional Korean instruments layered over a strong beat, followed by sharp rap verses and alluring vocals that bring out the distinct charm of each member.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is currently in the midst of their “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR ,” which spans 31 shows across 16 cities. After completing performances in Goyang, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, and Paris, the group is set to continue their global journey with stops in Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
