Actress Song Da Eun has denied reports claiming she signed an exclusive contract with Merry-Go-Round Company, following renewed dating speculation with BTS’s Jimin.
On August 27, Merry-Go-Round Company clarified to SPOTV News: “The reports about an exclusive contract with Song Da Eun are not true.”
The agency, home to So Ju Yeon and Hong Woo Jin, explained that Song’s affiliation with its social media live agency crew may have caused the misunderstanding.
The speculation surfaced after Song Da Eun posted a video on her social media earlier that day, which appeared to show her and Jimin together. In the clip, she rushes out of her apartment to meet someone at the elevator, and when the doors open, Jimin appears. Surprised, she gasps, while Jimin responds warmly: “Oh, you knew I was coming? I didn’t say anything on purpose.”
The video reignited dating rumors that have followed the two since 2022, despite neither side ever officially confirming a relationship.
Born in 1991, Song Da Eun debuted in the MBC drama 'Can’t Live Without Losing' and later gained recognition through 'Heart Signal 2' in 2018. She has since transitioned into acting roles in dramas such as The Golden Spoon and Once Again.
Meanwhile, Jimin, who completed his military service in June, is currently in the United States working on music ahead of BTS’s full-group comeback scheduled for spring 2026.
