At their concert on July 20, MONSTA X delights fans with spoilers of their upcoming September comeback.
MONSTA X has concluded their three-day ‘2025 MONSTA X CONNECT X’ concert held at the KSPO Dome, commemorating their tenth anniversary. This also marks their first concert with all six members in three years, now that they have all completed their mandatory military service.
On the last day of their concert in Korea, the members excitedly tease about their comeback. As they preface that they have confirmed their comeback through a prior press conference, member I.M reveals that the concept will be unique, and jokes that the genre is K-pop. Kihyun echoes the sentiments, expressing that fans might have trouble recognizing him. Hyungwon states that they have already filmed their music video, and Joohoney hints toward more content prior to the comeback. Additionally, they provided a sneak preview of an upcoming track "Fire & Ice," written by Hyungwon. Hyungwon describes penning the song with the concept of polar-opposite lovers.
MONSTA X members first came to the spotlight through the competition show ‘No.Mercy’, and subsequently debuting in 2015 as a seven-member group, including Wonho, with their first EP ‘Trespass’. Known for their aggressive and powerful style, they have managed to distinguish themselves in the saturated K-pop industry with hits like “Hero” and “Shoot Out.” They currently have six members, consisting of Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M.
