Lim Young Woong fans spread kindness through meal service and donations for children with severe disabilities
Fans of singer Lim Young Woong have continued to make a positive impact by volunteering and donating to support children with severe disabilities.
On July 19, Raon, a volunteer group within Lim Young Woong’s fan club Hero Era Volunteer Sharing Room, carried out their 49th meal service and donated goods worth 2.06 million KRW (approx. 1,580 USD) at Rodem’s House in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province.
Raon regularly supports Rodem’s House by covering meal costs and donating various supplies. They also prepare and serve meals through on-site kitchen volunteering. For this month’s service, the group prepared nutritious summer dishes in celebration of Chobok (the first of Korea’s three hottest days), wishing for the well-being of the children amid the heatwave.
Lim Young Woong himself has also consistently given back to society through donations, sharing the love he receives from fans. On July 21, the Community Chest of Korea announced that Lim donated 200 million KRW (approx. $145,000 USD) on July 20 under the name of his fan club Hero Era to support victims of recent heavy rainfall.
The donation was jointly made—100 million KRW from Lim Young Woong and another 100 million KRW from his agency Fish Music—and will be used for emergency aid, temporary housing, living expenses, and recovery support for those affected by flooding across the country. Since 2021, Lim has steadily contributed through Community Chest of Korea, with his total donations now reaching 2.3 billion KRW (approx. $1.67 million USD).
