It’s been a busy year in K-pop, especially for rookie groups that made their debut after surviving intense audition programs. In 2024, survival shows flooded the scene, each hoping to launch the next big stars. Now in 2025, the results of those shows are being put to the test, and a few of those groups are already back with comeback albums, some even overlapping with their promotion periods.
Let’s take a look at three boy groups that formed through 2024 survival shows and are now actively promoting their comebacks in July 2025.
1.) NouerA
NouerA is a seven-member boy group from Nouer Entertainment, formed through the KBS survival show ‘MAKEMATE1’. The group includes Hyunjun, Gihyeon, Junpyo, Yuseop, Lin, Fan, and Miraku. They debuted on February 26, 2025, with the mini-album ‘Chapter: New is Now’ and title track ‘N.I.N (New is Now)’. On June 30, they returned with their second mini-album and title track ‘n (number of cases)’, which they’re now promoting on music shows.
2.) AHOF
AHOF is a nine-member boy group created through SBS’s ‘Universe League’. Under F&F Entertainment, the lineup features Steven, Jeongwoo, Woongki, Shuaibo, Han, JL, Juwon, Chih En, and Daisuke. They debuted on July 1, 2025, with their first mini-album ‘Who We Are’ and title track ‘Rendezvous’. Currently, the group is in the middle of their debut promotions and has already won three music show trophies.
3.) CLOSE YOUR EYES
CLOSE YOUR EYES is a group of seven members under UNCORE, formed through JTBC’s survival show ‘Project 7’. Members include Jeon Minwook, Ma Jingxiang, Jang Yeojun, Kim Sungmin, Song Seungho, Sakurada Kenshin, and Seo Kyoungbae. They debuted with the mini-album ‘ETERNALT’ and title track ‘All My Poetry’ on April 2, 2025. Most recently, they made a comeback on July 8 with their second mini-album and the title track ‘Snowy Summer’, which is currently being promoted on music shows.
