According to sources on July 17 KST, Cube Entertainment has registered a trademark series for 'XOGEANS', along with the phrase 'New GG'.
Based on the registration, some speculated that Cube Entertainment may be debuting a new girl group soon. Others expressed criticism over the name, commenting, "It's like they combined 'EXO' and 'NewJeans' lol", "Tell me it's a joke. That can't be a girl group name..", "They're looking for attention from noise marketing", "What is wrong with Cube these days. Their naming sense is so wack", "Cube is making a co-ed group with EXO and Newjeans members??", "How can anyone think of anything other than EXO and NewJeans with that", and more.
