BTS member V has secured his spot as the most influential Asian celebrity on Instagram, proving his unmatched global presence even after completing military service.
According to a recent report by influencer analytics platform HypeAuditor, V ranked third on the list of the 'Top 1000 Most Influential Global Influencers'. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi claimed the top two positions, while V followed as the highest-ranked entertainer, ahead of Selena Gomez (4th) and Kendall Jenner (5th).
Regionally, V ranked third in the United States, and took the top spot in the United Kingdom. In Brazil—a major hub for K-pop fandom—he also placed third, just behind Ronaldo and Messi.
Most notably, V ranked first in the music category, reaffirming his influence as a pop artist. Despite not having resumed active music promotions after his military discharge, he continues to dominate social media.

As of July 4 (KST), V has amassed over 68.07 million followers on Instagram. Of those, more than 12.4 million are from the United States, the highest number for any K-pop artist. Remarkably, his follower count grew by 1.22 million in just 25 days following his discharge, the fastest growth rate among K-pop stars.
Influencer marketing platform SocialBook reports that V's engagement rate over the past 60 days is 20.6%, the highest globally among celebrities. Despite having restricted comments on his posts, his average engagement remains unrivaled.
Globally, V ranks 75th in total follower count, yet his average likes per post exceed 14 million, with recent posts consistently surpassing 12.5 million—figures rarely matched by other global stars.
On July 4 (KST), V departed for Paris to attend a Celine fashion show, where he serves as a global ambassador. His departure created a global stir, trending on Google in over 40 countries including South Korea, the US, France, the UK, and Japan. On X (formerly Twitter), phrases like "HAVE A SAFE FLIGHT TAEHYUNG" topped the worldwide trending list, with the top four trends all related to V, reaffirming his soaring global appeal.
