ENHYPEN has once again proven their massive album sales power.
On June 4, Belift Lab announced that pre-orders for ENHYPEN’s 6th mini album 'DESIRE: UNLEASH' have surpassed 2.18 million copies.
With this, ENHYPEN has achieved their third double-million seller. Their previous mini-album 'Orange Blood' surpassed 2 million in total sales last year.
The group has shown steep growth. Their second full album, 'ROMANCE: UNTOLD' recorded 2.34 million copies in first-week sales upon its release in July last year. In 2023 alone, ENHYPEN sold a total of 5.45 million albums. They have also performed strongly on album charts. On the IFPI’s 2024 Global Album Sales Chart and 2024 Global Album Chart, they ranked 2nd and 4th, respectively, which is the highest rankings among all K-pop artists.
Their new album explores themes of desire toward a loved one. While the previous ROMANCE series portrayed pure, devoted love, this album leans into something more dangerous and intense, showcasing ENHYPEN’s signature dark romance. The title track is “Bad Desire," a song that expresses the yearning to “turn their beloved into a vampire.” ENHYPEN’s emotional vocals add an urban, sexy vibe to the track.
Members also participated in the production. Jay contributed to the track “Helium”, taking part in producing, writing lyrics, and playing guitar, showcasing his wide-ranging musical capabilities. The album includes a total of six tracks: “Flashover,” “Outside,” “Loose,” “Too Close,” in addition to the title track and “Helium.”
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN will officially release 'BAD DESIRE: UNLEASH' on major music platforms at 1 PM KST on June 5.
