According to an exclusive June 23 OSEN report, BABYMONSTER members Ahyeon and Asa will appear on 'Running Man' ahead of their comeback scheduled for July. They will be joined by actress Joo Hyun Young as a fellow guest. Their episode is set to air on July 6.
Ahyeon, Asa, and Joo Hyun Young reportedly filmed with the 'Running Man' cast on the morning of June 23. While Joo Hyun Young has appeared on the show multiple times due to her connection with Ji Ye Eun, this marks the first appearance for Ahyeon and Asa on the long-running variety show.
Previously, BABYMONSTER members Rami and Rora appeared on 'Running Man' in November 2024. This time, Ahyeon and Asa are expected to showcase their variety show skills. Rami and Rora had previously expressed their love for the program, saying, “We’re 'Running Man' Kids. We’ve watched every episode since the first one,” raising anticipation for how the new members will perform on the show.
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER is set to make their comeback on July 1 with the pre-release single “HOT SAUCE.” Executive producer Yang Hyun Suk previously described the track as “a gift prepared to help fans enjoy the summer,” adding that it’s “a highly addictive hip-hop song reminiscent of the late 1980s.”
Joo Hyun Young is also preparing for the release of her new movie 'Ghost Train,' which opens on July 2. Known for her great chemistry with the 'Running Man' cast and even being recommended as a temporary member, fans are eager to see what kind of character she’ll portray in the upcoming episode.
The episode featuring Ahyeon, Asa, and Joo Hyun Young will air on July 6, as part of SBS’s 'Running Man,' which broadcasts every Sunday at 6:10 PM KST.
