Crew BUMSUP members Monika and Honey J shared their thoughts on participating in ‘World of Street Woman Fighter’ (WSWF) after becoming mothers.
On the morning of the 27th, a press conference for Mnet’s ‘World of Street Woman Fighter’ was held at a café in Gangnam, Seoul. The event was attended by chief producer Choi Jung Nam, MC Sung Han Bin, fight judges Park Jin Young and Mike Song.
At the event, Monika said, ‘It’s been 50 days since I gave birth. I’m doing my postpartum recovery through dance.’ Honey J also shared, ‘My daughter Love is now 25 months old. She’s speaking well and growing up beautifully.’
Honey J, who takes on the role of leader this season, said, ‘Representing the country comes with a lot of pressure and responsibility. It hasn’t been easy physically, but I tried not to show it. Becoming a mom has made me even more determined. I did my best in Season 1, but this time my passion is two or three times greater.’
Speaking about the team chemistry among the leaders, she added, ‘Our teamwork is a perfect 10 out of 10. Each member has a distinct charm, and even though our dance styles are different, we work well together. We’re learning each other’s styles and giving it our all.’
‘World of Street Woman Fighter’ is the third season of the popular competition show, featuring a global dance battle among fierce female crews. This season includes a national team format with crews from five countries: Korea, New Zealand, the U.S., Japan, and Australia.
Crews include ‘AG SQUAD’, ‘MOTIV’, ‘BUMSUP’, ‘OSAKA Ojo Gang’, ‘RHTokyo’, and ‘ROYAL FAMILY’, each representing their country in a quest to be crowned a true world-class dance crew.
The show premieres on the 27th.
