Singer IU is set to return to her musical roots with a comeback scheduled for May, marking her first album release in over a year since her 6th mini album The Winning, which dropped in February 2024.
According to industry insiders on May 12, IU is in the final stages of preparation for her new album. Notably, the music video for the upcoming title track will feature ASTRO member and actor Cha Eun Woo in a special cameo. The two previously showed impressive chemistry during a joint campaign for a jewelry brand earlier this year, and fans are excited to see how their on-screen presence will unfold in a music video setting.
Expectations are especially high for the visuals, with many fans calling it a “dream visual pairing.”
In addition to her singing career, IU recently starred in the Netflix series "When Life Gives You Tangerines", where she played dual roles. She is also confirmed to star alongside Byun Woo Seok in the upcoming MBC drama 21st Century Lady , set to air in the first half of next year.
Cha Eun Woo is also staying active with multiple projects. He is currently filming for the upcoming Netflix series The Wonderfuls and will hold ASTRO’s fourth solo concert this June at Inspire Arena in Incheon.
