On May 24 KST, GRID Entertainment revealed 2 new artists in its roster of talents, Leo and Sangwon.
The agency introduced its 2 new recruits with the line, "Bound as One, Leo & Sangwon," revealing a sleek set of profile photos.
Both Leo and Sangwon were formerly members of Trainee A, a debuting lineup teased by Big Hit Entertainment in 2022. However, the team's debut was ultimately called off in December of that year, and all 6 members went their separate ways. Yorch, another former member of Trainee A, went on to debut as a member of the GRID Entertainment boy group POW. Yorch is currently the leader of the 5-member team, which is currently gearing up for a comeback on June 27.
Meanwhile, shortly after Trainee A's disbandment, Leo went on to sign with 131 Label and debuted as a solo artist in August of 2023, releasing the digital single "One Look".
