On January 7, Rocky officially joined the ‘Global K-Pop Center’ as executive director.
The Global K-Pop Center, jointly operated by PH E&M (CEO Park Byung Geon) and KBS Sports World, is a next-generation K-Pop talent development organization. It serves as a comprehensive K-Pop hub, integrating international collaboration programs across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas in partnership with domestic and international entertainment companies, broadcasters, and global platforms.
In addition, it aims to build a content industry ecosystem through global IP production and collaboration, establishing a sustainable growth model for the K-Pop industry.
Rocky, an active idol and former member of ASTRO, is widely recognized as a talented choreographer who directly participated in creating his team’s choreography. As an all-rounder encompassing vocals, rap, performance, and production, he has accumulated extensive practical experience across the K-Pop industry, including global tours, album production, and stage directing.
In his new role as the executive director, Rocky will oversee all aspects of K-pop performances and choreography at the Global K-Pop Center. His responsibilities include enhancing artist training systems, planning global auditions and rookie development projects, establishing content production and IP expansion strategies, and providing artistic direction for performances and stage production.
“I want to contribute to creating an environment and system where the next generation of K-Poo talent can grow steadily,” said Rocky on his appointment.
The ‘Global K-Pop Center’ plans to significantly expand its rookie development programs both domestically and internationally.
